On March 12, 2020, Governor Mike DeWine announced that the Ohio Department of Health has issued an order prohibiting mass gatherings. This is defined as 100 people or more being in a single room or single space at the same time. The Village of Coal Grove currently is declaring a State of Emergency. We are doing so to ensure the safety of our village and prevent any potential spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus. Alongside of our neighboring community, Ironton, we are issuing a no handshake policy. A notice of this policy is required to be posted at all businesses in the village. We strongly urge residents to practice healthy hand hygiene by washing and sanitizing your hands frequently.
In addition, our nursing home should place visiting limitations to protect patients. Our townhouse will remain open at this time. There is a drop box outside for our customers wishing to avoid coming inside. We want to assure our residents that our emergency services stand ready to provide any services that may be needed.
All precautions set forth will remain in effect until further notice.
